"I recently bought a package of Mesquite flavored BBQ rub and used it on some pork ribs.  I coated the ribs in mustard and then applied the Mesquite rub.  Then I put the ribs in the smoker for 4 hours at 200 F.  Wow!  The Mesquite rub really was awesome stuff.  I haven't seen it sold here in NZ.
I went back to MB and bought 3 more packs. I really like going to MB for getting hard to find spices for cooking."

"I love Martha’s Backyard - I come in at least twice a month.  It’s started to be a little fix for me...to get a little taste of home right here in Auckland!    
I mostly come for the American treats like Mission Chips, Fritos, Santa Fe Queso, Jello No Bake Cheesecake, Twinkies and Ho Ho’s, but I’ve also bought clothing there too.  It’s good to take the time to browse because you just never know when you’re going to find that must have item. I really appreciate Martha’s."

"I have been shopping at Martha’s backyard since it was located in a small room on Apirana Ave and there weren’t even any food items!  Sandy has always been so helpful in filling requests for specific items and her prices are very reasonable.  It is good to know there is somewhere to go for those items you can’t live without but aren’t available in mainstream shops.  I had always relied on friends and family still in the US to mail these items over but now I can get it all at Martha’s Backyard!"
